Dining Room Makeover: Part 2

In my last post I featured the refinished china cabinet we got for free. After that was completed I went on to makeover the free chairs we got as part of another more traditional style dining set from a family member. I love the look of benches but did not want the children playing on them so we found this gorgeous church pew style dining bench. However kids will be kids so a small chip later I decided to make bench pads to protect it and give some comfort.

The chairs were a breeze to paint with chalky paint in a Elephant gray color. I found some very affordable upholstery fabric at a discount store and re – upholstered the seat.

I really love the result!img_6290

Up next….. thrift store mirror and buffet makeover! Love all the freebies and custom look of my dining area!
